Abstract
In a metal enclosed switchgear in which electrical equipment is placed in the inside of a box body (1) having a suction opening (4) and an exhaust opening (18), a partition plate in the switchboard (17) serving as a vent partition plate formed with a vent opening (19) is arranged in face-to-face relation to the suction opening (4) with a space from a casing portion on the inside of the casing portion of the box body (1) formed with the suction opening (4), and the partition plate in the switchboard (17) suppresses high temperature arc gas from being discharged to the outside from the suction opening (4) when a short- circuit fault occurs in a cable compartment (14) in the inside of the box body (1).
