PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the carrying failure and the fixing failure of recording paper, by constituting the titled device so that the release caused by the thermal expansion of a conveyor belt for carrying the recording paper under a radiation heating device is canceled by a tension roll. CONSTITUTION:Between driving rollers 3, 4, plural pieces of perforated belts 5, and non-perforated belts 16 on both its sides are wound round, and by suction chambers 8-16 of negative pressure, recording paper 15 on the belt is attracted and carried, and by the flash of a xenon flash lamp 1, an electrostatic latent image is fixed. Even if a white belt whose photoabsorption rate is low is used, the temperature of the belt raises by receiving the repeated flash, therefore, by pressing downward a tension roll 11 by a pressure bearing 12, the meandering of the belt is prevented. The roll 11 is provided on the lower part of the chamber 8 to which the influence of the flash is low, and it is prevented that the roll slides due to the sticking of dropped paper powder. Accordingly, the release of the conveyor belt is eliminated and the carrying failure and the fixing failure of the recording paper can be prevented.
