Abstract
The present invention thus relates to a wireless production monitoring system for wirelessly transmitting production data c:A a plurality of production lines (40) within a manufacturing plant to a remote server (50) via a wireless access point (80) so that the manufacturing plant's production can be monitored remotely. The wireless production monitoring system including a plurality of detection and data input collection modules (10) for detecting and collecting production line (40) related data, each detection and data input collection module (10) including at least one RFID tag (10c); a data transmission module (70) comprising a plurality of RFID readers (30), a plurality of wireless routers (20) and a wireless access point (80) that enable wireless communication of said production line (40) related data between any one of the plurality of detection and data input collection modules (10) to a data management module (207); the data management module (207) comprising said remote server (50), for processing and storing said production line (40) related data and further including a local host (201) serving as a web based server that includes a web based data acquisition system (200). Said local host (201) being in communication with said remote server (50) and thus has access to data stored within said remote server (50).
