Abstract

Provided is an electric vacuum cleaner that prevents the visibility of a dust collecting device from being deteriorated by a tube part, and can reliably prevent a main body side air passage part from being clogged with dust by a simple constitution. The electric vacuum cleaner includes a dust collecting device that includes a suction part extending downward and stores dust sucked by the electric blower inside. A main body case (26) includes a projecting receiving part (32) on which the dust collecting device is detachably placed. The main body case (26) includes a main body side air passage part (53). The main body side air passage part (53) has, on the projecting receiving part (32), a main body suction port (54) to which a tube part is detachably connected. The main body side air passage part (53) has, on the projecting receiving part (32), a connecting port (55) that is connected to a suction part of the dust collecting device placed on the projecting receiving part (32). The main body side air passage part (53) makes communication between the main body suction port (54) and the connecting port (55). Figure 1
