Abstract

The present invention addresses the above problems with the object of providing an absorbent article capable of relieving irritation to the skin around the sacrum. An absorbent article includes a central region (S1) disposed in a crotch of a wearer; a rear region (S3) located behind the central region (S1), the rear region being longer than the central region in the front-back direction; and an absorbent core (31) disposed at least in the rear region, hip flaps bulging outward in the width direction are provided in the rear region (S3). A pair of rear compressed units (84) formed by compressing at least the absorbent core (31) is formed along the front-back direction (L) in the rear region (S3) and is provided to be separated from each other with a centerline (CL) passing through a center of the absorbent article in the width direction, a position of maximum width of the hip flaps (4) in the width direction is located behind a center of the rear region in the front-back direction. The pair of rear compressed units (84) is located behind a position of the maximum width of the hip flap in the width direction, the pair of rear compressed units (84) has a wide section in which a distance in the width direction widens toward a rear side.
