Abstract
There is disclosed a vehicle position measuring apparatus (1) includes a position measurement processing unit (103), a position measurement information storage unit, a communication unit and an updating unit. The position measurement processing unit (103) estimates a current position of a vehicle (C) while a position measurement information storage unit accumulates and stores the position of the vehicle (C) which is estimated by the position measurement processing unit (103) in a state where the position correlates with time at which the estimation is performed. The communication unit receives a signal transmitted from a communication apparatus (A) which is installed in a fixed pattern, and that based on the received signal, detects a position of the vehicle (C) when the signal is received. The updating unit updates. based on the position of the vehicle (C) which is detected by the communication unit, updates the position of the vehicle (C) which is stored on the position measurement information storage unit in a state where the position correlates with time after the time at which the communication unit receives the signal.
