Abstract

The machine(lO0) consists of a stator (110) having excitation windings (130), phase windings (140), and permanent magnets (150). The excitation windings (130) and the phase windings (140) being wounded in respective slots in the stator (ll0) in such a way that there is no overlapping between the excitation windings (130) and the phase 10 windings (140).The slots for the excitation windings (130) are arranged on outer surface of the stator (ll0), the phase windings (140) are accommodated alternatively in slots located on circumference of the stator (ll0), and the permanent magnets (150&160) are positioned in between the slots of the phase windings (140), to boost amplitude of flux linkages excited by the permanent magnets (150), by an additional 15 flux excitation generated by the excitation windings (130).
