Abstract

To enable forming a sub-assembly with an end plate to improve productivity, while increasing the bonding strength between constituent members of a vehicle body side structure to improve an impact absorbing ability, an end plate (40) for closing a rear opening of a closed cross section portion formed by a side sill inner member (10) and a side sip outer portion (28) is configured to abut a rear edge of a side sill reinforcement member (30) and to be attached to the side sill inner member (10) and the side sill outer portion (28) by welding, where the end plate is further configured to be secured to a rear end part of the side sill reinforcement member (30) by bolting.
