Abstract

A device for a construction of a floating gangway comprising a number of gangway sections (20,30,40) that are supported by a number of pontoons (A,B .. ), and a number of the respective end sections of the two adjoining gangway sections (20,30) are mounted so that they can swing approximately horizontally to a common supporting pontoon via correspondingly shaped male and female coupling bodies (22,60;24,62), wherein the coupling bodies (60,62) associated with said two adjoining gangway sections (20,30;30,40) are connected to a locking body that restricts their mutual swing movement to between a position where the gangway sections (20,30;30,40) are approximately in parallel and a position where they form an angle a that is less than 180?, and the construction comprises means to synchronize the mutual swing movement of the sections so that when one section is rotated about its mounting (22) in the pontoon, the second section is rotated the opposite way about its mounting (24) in the pontoon.
