Abstract

THE PRESENT INVENTION IS PERTAINING TO A GROUTED SPLICE SLEEVE CONNECTOR (1) FOR CONNECTING AT LEAST TWO PRECAST CONCRETE COMPONENTS (7) OF BUILDING CONSTRUCTION. THE GROUTED SPLICE SLEEVE CONNECTOR (1) COMPRISES A HOLLOW HOUSING (2), A SPIRAL ELEMENT (3) POSITIONED ALONG THE INTERIOR OF THE HOLLOW HOUSING (2), AT LEAST TWO PAIRS OF SPLICE BARS (4) ATTACHED TO THE SPIRAL ELEMENT (3) FORMING A CAGE WITH TWO OPEN ENDS, AND A PAIR OF THREADED REINFORCEMENT BARS (5) ADJACENTLY POSITIONED IN THE INTERIOR OF THE HOLLOW HOUSING (2). THE TWO PAIRS OF SPLICE BARS (4), SPIRAL ELEMENT (3) AND A PAIR OF THREADED REINFORCEMENT BARS (5) ARE EMBEDDED IN THE HOLLOW HOUSING (2) AND AXIALLY ALIGNED BY A GROUTING (6) FILLING THE INTERIOR OF HOLLOW HOUSING (2). THE PRECAST CONCRETE COMPONENTS (7) FORM A CONTINUOUS CONCRETE STRUCTURE BY SPLICING THE THREADED REINFORCEMENT BARS (5).
