Abstract
IN THE PRESENT INVENTION, IF A SIGNAL PROCESSING UNIT (10) CHANGES THE DUTY RATIO OF A PILOT SIGNAL, THE PILOT SIGNAL IS TRANSMITTED AT THE CHANGED DUTY RATIO AFTER STOPPING THE PILOT SIGNAL BY SETTING THE SIGNAL VOLTAGE TO ZERO VOLTS. IF THE PILOT SIGNAL IS STOPPED, THE TIME IN WHICH THE TOTAL CURRENT CONSUMPTION EXCEEDS THE RATED CURRENT BECOMES ONLY THE TIME REQUIRED FOR THE SIGNAL PROCESSING UNIT TO STOP THE PILOT SIGNAL, AND THIS TIME IS NOT AFFECTED BY THE PROCESSING TIME IN THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE (200). IT IS THEREFORE POSSIBLE TO ADJUST THE CHARGING CURRENT TO AN APPROPRIATE VALUE WHILE AVOIDING TRIPPING THE MAIN CIRCUIT BREAKER (40), REGARDLESS OF THE TYPE OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE (200).
