Abstract

The present invention provides a method for producing a wet master batch containing a rubber component and a filler, comprising the steps of: (a) mixing and coagulating a rubber solution containing the rubber component and the filler; (b) taking out a coagulated product formed in the step (a); (c) adding an additional filler to the coagulated product taken out in the step (b); and (d) drying a mixture containing the coagulated product obtained in the step (b) and the additional filler added in the step (c), in the drying step (d) the mixture of the coagulated product and the filler being mixed under a mechanical shearing force, and the coagulated product obtained in the step (b) having a water content of from 20 to 70%, and thus provides such a novel method for producing a wet master batch that effectively avoids a problem of incomplete dispersion of an additional filler, which occurs on further adding a filler, such as carbon black and silica, to a rubber master batch having been dried and kneaded.
