AN ANIONIC SURFACTANT POWDER WHICH CAKES LITTLE WITH THE LAPSE OF TIME EVEN WHEN ALLOWED TO STAND AT HIGH TEMPERATURE IN A COMPACTED STATE; AND A PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF ANIONIC SURFACTANT POWDER WHICH INCLUDES COVERING A SURFACE OF A SURFACTANT-CONTAINING POWDER (A) IN WHICH A CONTENT OF AN ANIONIC SURFACTANT IS 70% BY WEIGHT OR MORE AND A MOISTURE CONTENT IS 5% BY WEIGHT OR LESS WITH A NON-DELIQUESCENT POWDERY DRYING AGENT (B) WHICH EXHIBITS A MASS INCREASE OF IOBY WEIGHT OR MORE WHEN ALLOWED TO STAND UNDER THE CONDITION 10 OF 4O'C AND 80 RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR 6 HOURS CAN BE PROVIDED. IT IS PREFERABLE TO ADD THE POWDERY DRY AGENT (B) OF 1 TO 25 PARTS BY WEIGHT PER 100 PARTS BY WEIGHT OF THE SURFACTANT-CONTAINING POWDER (A).
