DISCLOSED HEREIN IS A DEPTH FILTRATION TYPE AIR FILTER MEDIA FOR PURIFYING GAS TURBINE INTAKE AIR AND COMPRESSOR INTAKE AIR, INCLUDING: A FIRST LAYER (5) FORMED OF AN ELECTROSTATIC STAPLE NONWOVEN FABRIC (8) HAVING A FINENESS OF 0.5 ~ 6 DENIERS AND A SPUN-BONDED SUPPORT LAYER AND COLLECTING LARGE PARTICULATES; AND AN INTERMEDIATE LAYER (6) FORMED OF A THERMAL-BONDED NONWOVEN FABRIC (10) MADE OF A SYNTHETIC FIBER HAVING A FINENESS OF 6 ~ 20 DENIERS AND INCREASING DUST HOLDING CAPACITY; AND A BENDABLE FINAL LAYER (7) FORMED OF AN ULTRAFINE ELECTROSTATIC MELT-BLOWN FABRIC (11) HAVING A FINENESS OF 0.07 ~ 0.9 DENIERS AND ALLOWING PARTICULATES SUCH AS FINE DUST TO CONGLOMERATE AND THUS PREVENTING THE INCREASE OF PRESSURE DROP AND DOUBLING THE DUST HOLDING CAPACITY. THE DEPTH FILTRATION TYPE AIR FILTER MEDIA IS ADVANTAGEOUS IN THAT ITS PRESSURE DROP IS MAINTAINED LOW, A FILTER CARTRIDGE CLEANING PROCESS IS NOT REQUIRED, IT HAS HIGH DUST HOLDING CAPACITY, AND IT HAS EXCELLENT WATER REPELLENCY AND WATER RESISTANCE.
