Abstract

A diagnostic device of a bi-fuel (1) includes a gasoline supply device for supplying gasoline to an engine (2), a catalyst (10) for cleaning gas after combustion of the gasoline, a sensor (15, 16) for allowing the catalyst to function, a CNG supply device (31) for liquefying CNG and supplying liquefied CNG to the engine, operation switching means for switching between gasoline operation and CNG operation, the gasoline operation using the gasoline supply device to operate the engine, and the CNG operation using the CNG supply device to operate the engine, diagnosis means (11) for making at least one of diagnosis of the sensor itself, diagnosis of the catalyst by using an output of the sensor, and diagnosis of an exhaust post-processing system by using the output of the sensor, during operation with the gasoline, and activation stopping means for stopping activation of the diagnosis means during operation with the CNG.
