Abstract

THE OBJECT OF THE INVENTION IS TO PROVIDE AN AIR CONDITIONER USING A ROTARY COMPRESSOR (1) THAT PREVENTS A DECLINE IN PERFORMANCE CAUSED BY THE FLUCTUATION OF THE INTERMEDIATE PRESSURE AND THE INTERFERENCE BETWEEN THE INTERMEDIATE PRESSURE AND SUCTION IN A HIGH-PRESSURE COMPRESSION ELEMENT (20B) IN A ROTARY COMPRESSOR (1) AND HAS A HIGH COEFFICIENT OF PERFORMANCE COP WITHIN A FULL OPERATING RANGE. THE AIR CONDITIONER INCLUDES: A REFRIGERATING CYCLE THAT HAS A ROTARY COMPRESSOR (1) PROVIDED WITH A ROTARY COMPRESSION ELEMENT IN WHICH A LOW-PRESSURE COMPRESSION ELEMENT (20A) AND A HIGH-PRESSURE COMPRESSION ELEMENT (20B) ARE STACKED AND AN INTERMEDIATE SPACE THAT CONNECTS THE LOW-PRESSURE COMPRESSION ELEMENT (20A) TO THE HIGH-PRESSURE COMPRESSION ELEMENT (20B), WHEREIN THE PHASE DIFFERENCE IN A COMPRESSION PROCESS BETWEEN THE LOW-PRESSURE COMPRESSION ELEMENT (20A) AND THE HIGH-PRESSURE COMPRESSION ELEMENT (20B) IS 1800; AND A CONTROL SECTION THAT CONTROLS THE ROTATION OF THE ROTARY COMPRESSOR (1), AND MAKES THE RATIO BETWEEN THE VOLUME OF THE INTERMEDIATE SPACE AND THE SWEPT VOLUME OF THE LOW-PRESSURE COMPRESSION ELEMENT (20A) WITHIN A SPECIFIED RANGE WITH RESPECT TO THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF REVOLUTIONS TO BE USED OF THE ROTARY COMPRESSOR (1) AND THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF REVOLUTIONS TO BE USED OF THE ROTARY COMPRESSOR, THEREBY IMPROVING A COEFFICIENT OF PERFORMANCE WITHIN THE FULL OPERATING RANGE OF THE AIR CONDITIONER MOUNTED WITH THE ROTARY TWO-STAGE COMPRESSOR.
