Abstract

THE PRESENT INVENTION PROVIDES A MULTILAYERED BLADE IN WHICH THE GRAIN SIZE OF ABRASIVE GRAINS CHANGES AND A MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF. OBJECTS OF THE MULTILAYERED BLADE DESCRIBED ABOVE ARE THAT A BINDER CAN BE SELECTED FROM A WIDER RANGE OF CHOICES, THE CONTENT (CONCENTRATION) OF AN ABRASIVE-GRAIN MATERIAL CAN BE EASILY CHANGED, AND IN ADDITION, THE THICKNESSES OF INDIVIDUAL LAYERS AND THE RATIO THEREBETWEEN CAN BE EASILY CHANGED. THE MULTILAYERED BLADE IS PRODUCED BY A PROCESS CONTAINING THE STEPS OF FORMING GREEN SHEETS 11 TO 13 BY MIXING EACH OF DIAMOND AND/OR CBN ABRASIVE-GRAIN MATERIALS HAVING A PLURALITY OF ABRASIVE-GRAIN SIZES WITH A POWDERED BINDER, FORMING A LAMINATE HAVING A GRADIENT STRUCTURE COMPOSED OF THE GREEN SHEETS IN WHICH A GREEN SHEET CONTAINING A COARSE ABRASIVE-GRAIN MATERIAL 11A IS DISPOSED AT A CENTRAL SIDE, AND GREEN SHEETS CONTAINING FINE ABRASIVE-GRAIN MATERIALS 12A AND 13A ARE DISPOSED AT THE TWO FRONT SURFACE SIDES; AND FORMING A MOLDED BLADE BODY HAVING A MULTILAYER STRUCTURE BY PRESS SINTERING OF THE LAMINATE, IN WHICH CIRCULAR ABRASIVE-GRAIN THIN FILMS FORMED OF THE GREEN SHEETS ARE INTEGRALLY BONDED TO EACH OTHER.(FIG 1)
