IN A REPLACING GAS COLLECTING TRAP APPARATUS (40) OF THE PRESENT INVENTION USED FOR INSTALLING AN AIR CONDITIONER (2), AN OUTDOOR UNIT (A) INCLUDES A COMPRESSOR (1) AND AN OUTDOOR UNIT HEAT EXCHANGER (3) INTO BOTH OF WHICH REFRIGERANT GAS IS CHARGED, AN INDOOR UNIT (B) INCLUDES AN INDOOR UNIT HEAT EXCHANGER (6) WHICH IS OPENED INTO ATMOSPHERE, THE OUTDOOR UNIT (A) AND THE INDOOR UNIT (B) ARE CONNECTED THROUGH A CONNECTING PIPE (9), AIR IN THE INDOOR UNIT HEAT EXCHANGER (6) OR THE CONNECTING PIPE (9) IS REPLACED BY REPLACING GAS AND THEN, THE REPLACING GAS IS COLLECTED. THE APPARATUS (40) FURTHER COMPRISES AN ABSORBENT FOR ABSORBING THE REPLACING GAS, AND A CONTAINER BODY (41) HAVING A BASE FOR INTRODUCING THE REPLACING GAS, AND THE BASE IS PROVIDED WITH A LID MADE OF RESIN MATERIAL OR METAL MATERIAL HAVING LOW GAS-PERMEABILITY.(FIG 3)
