A SCOOTER TYPE MOTORCYCLE (10) INCLUDES A REAR FORK (88) FOR SUPPORTING A REAR WHEEL (18) OF THE MOTORCYCLE (10). A FRONT PORTION OF THE REAR FORK (88) IS ATTACHED TO A CRANKCASE (52) OF AN ENGINE (16) IN A VERTICALLY SWINGABLE MANNER. THE ENGINE (16) IS MOUNTED TO A BODY FRAME (11) THROUGH ELASTIC MEMBERS. THE MOUNTING ARRANGEMENT ENHANCES THE COMFORT OF THE RIDE OF THE MOTORCYCLE (10) BY REDUCING VIBRATIONS FROM BEING TRANSMITTED FROM THE REAR WHEEL (18) TO THE RIDER.(FIG 5)
