THE INVENTION AIMS TO PROVIDE A BODY FLUIDS ABSORBENT ARTICLE SUCH AS A SANITARY NAPKIN PROVIDED ON ITS TRANSVERSELY OPPOSITE SIDES WITH FLAPS HAVING IMPROVED PROPERTIES SUCH AS LIQUID-RESISTANCE, BREATHABILITY AND SURFACE FRICTIONAL STRENGTH.THE ABSORBENT ARTICLE IS PROVIDED ALONG ITS TRANSVERSELY OPPOSITE SIDES WITH FLAPS 10 EACH COMPRISING FIRST AND SECOND FIBROUS LAYERS (FORMED BY SPUN BONDED OR SPUN LACED NONWOVEN FABRIC) 11A, 11B AND A THIRD FIBROUS LAYER (FORMED BY MELT BLOWN NONWOVEN FABRIC) 11C INTEGRALLY DISPOSED BETWEEN THE FIRST AND SECOND FIBROUS LAYERS.(FIG. 3)
