THE INVENTION RELATES TO A LIFT VALVE OF EXTREMELY SHORT OVERALL LENGTH, WITH CASING END-FACES WHICH ARE PERPENDICULAR TO A PIPELINE AXIS, AN OBLIQUELY EXTENDING, CONNECTING DIVIDING FACE WITH A VALVE SEAT BEING ARRANGED BETWEEN THE END FACES OF THE CASING. THIS MEASURE MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO REDUCE THE OVERALL LENGTH OF THE LIFT VALVE TO AN AMOUNT WHICH CORRESPONDS APPROXIMATELY TO THE NOMINAL DIAMETER.
