Abstract

A COOL-AIR DUCT (25) WHICH CAN DISCHARGE THE PROPER AMOUNT OF COOL AIR INTO THE REFRIGERATING COMPARTMENT (3) THROUGH A PLURALITY OF COOL-AIR DISCHARGE OPENINGS (16), AS WELL AS CIRCULATE THE COOL AIR EFFICIENTLY IN THE COMPARTMENT (3). THE COOL-AIR DUCT (25) COMPRISES A FIRST AND SECOND COOL-AIR. PASSAGES (35, 36) FOR MOVING THE COOL AIR ALONG OPPOSITE SIDES OF THE COOL-AIR DISCHARGE OPENINGS (16), AND A PLURALITY OF COOL-AIR GUIDERS (370) ARRANGED ON AND UNDER EACH COOL-AIR DISCHARGE OPENING (16) FOR DIRECTING THE COOL AIR TO THE APPROPRIATE COOL-AIR DISCHARGE OPENINGS (16). EACH COOL-AIR GUIDER (370) INCLUDES SHOULDERS (47, 48) WHICH EXTEND ASLANT TOWARD THE FIRST AND SECOND COOL-AIR PASSAGES (35, 36) FROM ITS TOP SIDES, AND CURVED PORTIONS (45, 46) ON ITS BOTTOM SIDES. THE COOL AIR IS GUIDED INTO THE COOL-AIR DISCHARGE OPENINGS (16) BY THE SHOULDERS AND CURVED PORTIONS. THE SHOULDERS OF THE LOWER COOL-AIR GUIDER EXTEND OUT TOWARDS THE FIRST AND SECOND COOL-AIR PASSAGES (35, 36) MORE THAN THOSE OF THE HIGHER COOL-AIR GUIDER, IN ORDER THAT MOST AMOUNTS OF THE COOL AIR CAN FLOW THROUGH THE LOWER COOL-AIR DISCHARGE OPENING THAN THE HIGHER COOL-AIR DISCHARGE OPENING, AND THEREBY ACCOMPLISHING UNIFORM COOLING FOR THE FOODSTUFFS IN THE COMPARTMENT (3).
