Abstract

THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES TO AN INTERNAL RECYCLING TYPE FLUIDIZED BED BOILER (1) IN WHICH A FLUIDIZED BED PORTION OF THE BOILER IS DEVIDED BY A PARTITION (18) INTO A PRIMARY COMBUSTION CHAMBER (3) AND A THERMAL ENERGY RECOVERY CHAMBER (4), AT LEAST TWO KINDS OF AIR CHAMBERS (12, 13, 14) ARE PROVIDED AT A PORTION BELOW THE PRIMARY COMBUSTION CHAMBER (3), ONE BEING AN AIR CHAMBER (13) FOR IMPARTING A HIGH FLUIDIZING SPEED TO A FLUIDIZING MEDIUM AND THE OTHER BEING AN AIR CHAMBER (12, 14) FOR IMPARTING A LOW FLUIDIZING SPEED TO A FLUIDIZING MEDIUM THEREBY PROVIDING A WHIRLING AND CIRCULATING FLOW TO THE FLUIDIZING MEDIUM IN THE PRIMARY COMBUSTION CHAMBER (3) BY A COMBUSTION OF AIR FLOWS HAVING DIFFERENT FLUIDIZING SPEEDS INJECTED OUT OF THESE AIR CHAMBERS TO FORM A WHIRLING AND CIRCULATING FLOW OF THE FLUIDIZING MEDIUM BETWEEN THE PRIMARY CHAMBER (3) AND THE THERMAL ENERGY RECOVERY CHAMBER (4), AND THE FLUIDIZING MEDIUM IS MOVED DOWNWARD IN A FORM OF A MOVING BED IN THE THERMAL ENERGY RECOVERY CHAMBER (4), SAID BOILER (1) BEING CHARACTERIZED IN THAT THERMAL ENERGY RECOVERY FROM EXHAUST GAS IS EFFECTED IN A FREE BOARD PORTION OR DOWNSTREAM OF THE FREE BOARD PORTION, THE EXHAUST GAS LOWERED IN ITS TEMPERATURE AFTER BEING COOLED IS GUIDED TO A CYCLONE (7), AND FINE PARTICULATE CHAR COLLECTED AT THE CYCLONE (7) IS RETURNED TO A PORTION DIRECTLY ABOVE OR INTO A DESCENDING MOVING BED OF THE FLUIDIZING MEDIUM IN THE PRIMARY COMBUSTION CHAMBER (3) AND/OR THERMAL RECOVERY CHAMBER (4). WITH THE CHAR BEING RETURNED TO THE PORTION DIRECTLY ABOVE OR INTO THE DESCENDING MOVING BED OFTHE FLUIDIZING MEDIUM, THE CHAR WILL NOT BE IMMEDIATELY SCATTERED TO THE FREE-BOARD PORTION AND THE CHAR IS SUFFICIENTLY PRECIPITATED AND WHEREBY IT IS POSSIBLE TO REDUCE NO% GENERATED BY COMBUSTIONOF COAL OR THE LIKE, IN THE BED.
