All the toll equipment installed in the lane type 2 with receiver and electronic toll collection will contain a Central Track Management Unit (UCGC), consisting of a PC (computer) and a set of peripheral means of registration and management of toll data .
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Different toll systems and equipment are known for lanes on motorways and bridges, such as the patent MX 18240 which mentions a device for detecting the passage of a mobile phone with passive transponder; this device comprises an interrogation set and a passive responder associated one to a mobile, the other to the way, the interrogation set has on the one hand a low frequency transmitter and a medium frequency transmitter of continuous operation, with respective antennas that emit to a certain area with respect to the antennas, and which is crossed by the responder during the displacement, and on the other hand, a unit sensitive to the characteristics of the respondent when it is in the area.
On the other hand, patent MX 173544 mentions an apparatus for automatic non-contact quota collection, a ticket or electronic transit pass for use in an automatic quota collection system, which is activated to pay the fee, when it is put into proximity of an antenna mounted to the entrance and exit of transit access equipment, this ticket or electronic card makes contact in spaced communication with a modulated amplitude carrier antenna and as modulated by impedance modulation by the spaced card.
The article "RFID Tags connects Smart Cards to Smart Highways" (EDN v 39 No. 26 Dec 22 1994. p 33-36) mentions how to avoid heavy traffic on Route 91 in the state of California, United States of America; The highway gets help from an electronic distribution in such a situation, a year part of the SR-91 will be a fast highway, automatically maintaining two electronic communication ways with cars that helps a quieter flow. The cars on the SR-91 will be faster, drunk too, to a simple communication service called RFID tagging.
When the RFID tag control system is activated as a simple transponder that sends unique short codes. The system can electronically prepare the toll collection, eliminating the need for motorists to stop or even delay in toll booths. Traffic will move faster, with higher fuel economy and pollution will decrease.
As this RFID question control system works as a transponder when the traffic is heavy to make it more fluid, the operation of the RFID system is different to the system and equipment of the type 2 lane with cashier-receiver and electronic toll collection, because the former works as a transponder and the second as control of the toll data.
The article "Automatic Fee Collection on German Autobahns-the Chip Ticket System" (ISBN: 0-85296-613-1994), mentions that the German Federal Ministry of Transport conducts large-scale automatic charging of fees on highways as an experiment, from June 1993 and has been extended until mid-1995. The A 555 Cologne-Bonn highway is the test of the route.
The companies AG, ITF Intertraffic (Subsidiary of Daimler Benz AG) and Siemens Nixford AG participate as Siemens AG / ITF / SNI Project Group. The CHIP-ticket system, which was designed by the prevailing requirements in Germany and structurally similar to the European motorways is presented up to now, the project contemplates full German wide-range road network equipment, with a complete toll system automatic that has no parallels. There are small toll system scales that only offer automatic fee payment as an addition to manual payment methods and on a voluntary basis. For German motorways, the system is only conceived if the flow of traffic is not obstructed, for example a system without stations of tollbooths, barriers, constriction line and other restrictions.
The entire payment transaction must take place automatically and must be monitored without affecting the privacy of the drivers.
As can be seen, the German Chip-Ticket system has characteristics of European motorways, with specific objectives in its operation, so the system is different to the toll system with rail type 2 equipment with cashier-receiver and electronic toll collection.
Patents US 4789941, US 4955532, US 5485520, US 5459304, US 5546188, mention equipment and systems for toll payment on motorways, but are different from the toll system with rail type 2 equipment with cashier and electronic toll collection.
The applications and patents EP 0425961 B1, EP 0762332A2, WO 95/21424, WO 94/28516,
EP 0625768A2, EP 0700550B1, WO 97/09695, mention equipment and systems for toll payment on motorways, but are different from the system with rail type 2 equipment with cashier-receiver and electronic toll collection.
