Abstract

Una cada de revestimiento transparente curable por radiacion ultravioleta que incluye cuando menos uno de A) monomeros de acrilato o metacrilato o mezclas de los mismos que tienen de uno a seis grupos polimerizables radicalmente libres por molecula o B) compuestos que contienen dos o mas grupos polimerizables radicalmente libres, etilenicamente insaturados por molecula y mezclas de los mismos o mezclas de A) y B). El revestimiento puede incluir opcionalmente fotoiniciadores, solventes organicos volatiles y aditivos acostumbrados. La invencion proporciona ademas un proceso para aplicar la capa transparente a un substrato. En una modalidad preferida, el proceso de conformidad con la presente invencion incluye curado con energia baja de una capa transparente aplicada a un substrato por medio de una fuente de luz UV que utiliza UVA/UVV o UVA solamente y no involucra esencialmente radiacion UVB ni UVC.
