Abstract

La presente invencion se relaciona con metodos para la administracion de insulina en el compartimiento intradermico de la piel del sujeto, de preferencia a la vasculatura dermica del compartimiento intradermico. Los metodos de la presente invencion mejoran los parametros farmacocineticos y farmacodinamicos de suministro de insulina y resultado efectivo en una eficacia clinica superior en el tratamiento y/o prevencion de diabetes mellitus. Los metodos de la invencion actual proporcionan un control glicemico mejorado de ambos niveles de glucosa sanguinea en ayuno y sin ayuno (es decir despues de comer) y de este modo tienen una eficacia terapeutica mejorada en el tratamiento, prevencion y/o manejo de diabetes con relacion a los metodos tradicionales de suministro de insulina, incluyendo el suministro de insulina subcutaneo.
