Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un elemento direccional que sigue a la activacion bajo condiciones de corriente de entrada seleccionadas, calcula una impedancia de secuencia cero, en respuesta a valores de voltaje de secuencia cero y corriente de secuencia cero. El valor de la corriente se selecciona entre dos valores posibles, un valor, es el valor de un transformador de corriente asociado y el otro valor es la suma de las corrientes IA+IB+IC. Luego la impedancia de secuencia cero calculada es comparada contra valores umbrales seleccionados sensitivos, establecidos en particular para sistemas sin conexion a tierra. Se proporciona una indicacion de falla activa cuando la impedancia de secuencia cero calculada esta por encima de un primer valor umbral sensitivo establecido y se proporciona una indicacion inversa cuando la impedancia de secuencia cero calculada esta por debajo de un segundo valor umbral sensitivo establecido.
