Abstract

Un metodo para la evaluacion petrofisica de formaciones en la sub-superficie incluye: determinar la porosidad y permeabilidad de la formacion usando una indicacion cuantitativa de la composicion de la formacion; estimar la resistividad de la formacion rellena con agua usando la porosidad de la formacion; asociar las diferencias entre la resistividad de la formacion; medida y la resistividad estimada de la formacion saturada con agua, con la presencia de hidrocarburos en la sub-superficie; y estimar la saturacion de agua en la formacion irreducible usando la porosidad de la formacion y la permeabilidad de la formacion. La invencion ademas involucra un aparato adaptado para llevar a cabo el metodo inventivo. Otros aspectos de la invencion involucran hacer una pluralidad de mediciones diferentes de una formacion de la sub-superficie, incluyendo la medicion de los indicadores de una pluralidad de concentraciones elementales en la formacion, absolutas o relativas; procesar las mediaciones para determinar una pluralidad de parametros asociados con la formacion en la sub-superficie y determinar ya sea los intervalos de beneficios netos o los parametros de perforacion usando estos parametros de la formacion y ya sea criterios de aceptacion de intervalos o criterios de sondeo deseados, respectivamente.
