Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a una estructura soportante que se va a usar para maquinar de manera superabrasiva formas complejas , tal como formas aerodinamicas, dentro de un substrato. La estructura soportante tiene una porcion de eje, una porcion agrandada de cabezal adyacente a la porcion de eje y una porcion ahusada rectificadora adyacente a la porcion agrandada de cabezal. La porcion ahusada rectificadora tiene en la misma una capa de material de grano seleccionado del grupo que consiste de diamantes y nitruro de boro cubico. En una modalidad preferida, la estructura soportante es una estructura soportante de nitruro de boro cubico chapeada o vitrificada en la porcion rectificadora. Tambien se describe un metodo de uso de la herramienta.
