Abstract

Se proporcionan composiciones y metodos para reducir la permeabilidad de las zonas subterraneas. El agente de gelificacion de preferencia es seleccionado del grupo consistente de una polialquilenimina, una amina alifatica polifuncional, una aralquilamina, y una heteroalquilamina. El formato soluble en agua preferido es seleccionado del grupo consistente de formato de amonio, formato de litio, formato de sodio, formato de potasio, formato de rubidio, formato de cesio, y formato de francio, el agua es utilizada para formar una composicion acuosa antes de usarla en una formacion subterranea. Los metodos de la presente invencion para reducir la permeabilidad de una zona subterranea comprenden los pasos de introducir una composicion acuosa de acuerdo con la presente invencion dentro de una zona subterranea, y despues permitir que la composicion acuosa forme un gel reticulado en la zona.
