Abstract

Un sistema y metodo de distribucion de energia optica permite que se pueda suministrar energia electrica a multiples dispositivos de consumo de energia utilizando una sola linea de fibra optica; en una modalidad descrita, multiples herramientas para perforacion de pozos de consumo de energia estan interconectadas a una linea de fibra optica que se extiende al interior del pozo; los modulos de control estan interconectados entre la linea de fibra optica y las herramientas para perforacion de pozos; cuando una banda de longitud de onda optica particular es transmitida a traves de la linea de fibra optica, uno de los modulos de control correspondiente origina que la herramienta para perforacion de pozos respectiva sea seleccionada para que se suministre energia electrica a la misma.
