Abstract

Se describen diversos sistemas y métodos para proteger contra daño por corrientes inversas los ánodos para extracción electrolítica que tienen recubrimientos con actividad electrocatalítica en un banco de celdas electrolíticas. En la primera modalidad, se proporciona una o más fuentes auxiliares de energía que, cuando se accionan por una o más condiciones predeterminadas, mantienen el banco de celdas electrolíticas en un estado eléctrico relativamente inocuo para los ánodos que tienen recubrirnientos con actividad electrocatalítica.
