Abstract

Se describe un metodo para recuperar gas el cual incluye el comprimir gas con un compresor impulsado con un turboexpansor. El compresor puede ser un compresor centrifugo criogenico de alta velocidad y el gas que se va a recuperar puede ser generado desde una fuente de gas licuado, tal como durante la transferencia de gas natural licuado desde un recipiente de transportacion a un tanque de almacenamiento. Tambien se provee un sistema para recuperar gas e incluye un compresor impulsado con un turboexpansor en comunicacion con una fuente de gas que se va a comprimir. El sistema puede estar provisto con un circuito tal que cuando menos una porcion del gas comprimido y/o cuando menos una porcion de un gas expandido bajo presion reducida que sale del turboexpansor, se dirige hacia la fuente de gas.
