Abstract

A lightweight and rigid pallet for transportation (10) capable of being easily manufactured and assembled/disassembled, comprising (a) upper surface plates (11) formed of metallic band-shaped surface plates in such a cross section that projected parts (11a) of (n+1) in quantity and recessed parts (11b) of (n) in quantity (n is natural number) are arranged alternately each other, (b) support members (13) having reinforcement members (14) of channel shape in cross section fitted to the projected parts of upper and lower band-shaped surface plates therebetween at the longitudinal both end parts of the band-shaped surface plates with side faces formed in generally box shape by bending and folding the band-shaped surface plates inward through four lines in the longitudinal direction thereof and at least one intermediate part thereof, wherein (c) the plurality of upper surface plates (11) are connected to the upper or to the upper and lower parts of the plurality of support members (13) orthogonally to each other.
