Abstract
La presente invencion es un sistema y metodo para la administracion de energia del lado de la demanda con carga de base variable. El sistema de la presente invencion incluye un dispositivo de reduccion de energia que recibe energia electrica a partir de una fuente de energia electrica y produce energia electrica hacia una carga. El procesador produce una señal de control al dispositivo de reduccion de energia para disminuir la energia administrada a la carga como respuesta a una elevacion en el precio de la electricidad y aumenta la energia administrada a la carga como respuesta a la disminucion en el precio de electricidad. El procesador puede llevar a cabo el control de la energia recibiendo un programa de un usuario, incluyendo el programa puntos de referencia de control para diferentes periodos de tiempo durante el dia y/o la semana. El procesador genera entonces la señal de control basada en el programa y en la hora del dia. El procesador tambien puede recibir informacion de precios en tiempo real desde la compañia deservicio electrico.
