Description

A CHEMICAL COMPOSITION AND METHOD TO HELP ABSORBING, LINK AND ELIMINATION OF NON ASSIMILATED GREASE AND REDUCTION OF CHOLESTEROL IN THE HUMAN BODY.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a chemical composition for ingestion by humans and a method for aiding weight loss and reducing cholesterol levels in humans. More particularly, the chemical composition of the present invention is proposed for ingestion by a human before consuming a food and will aid in the absorption and binding of unassimilated fat to at least one fibrous agent for rapid and natural elimination from the body.
Description of the related art. Currently, many lifestyles of people have become physically less active. A natural result of a sedentary lifestyle is the tendency to gain weight, which is also compounded by the current tendency of many people to consume foods that are high in fat. Actually, it is commonly considered that many people are now overweight or at least moderately obese, and such individuals typically suffer from certain health problems associated with such conditions, at least sometime in life, if not, sooner than expected. Because of this trend, countless efforts have been made to help people control their weight. As a few examples, many have claimed to have won the "battle of the bulge" with a specific diet program or a particular exercise program. Others have explored hypnosis and other mechanisms to control an individual's appetite. Others in the scientific field have formulated sugar substitutes and are looking for fat substitutes as methods to reduce the caloric absorption of an individual without hope, sacrificing the taste of foods that would otherwise be highly greasy. While those efforts are generally able to help many in their fight to lose weight and establish a healthy lifestyle, many such attempts are usually ineffective or simply not practical. For example, some good, well-intentioned souls have tried hard to follow a particular diet plan, but eventually deviate from the plan due to lack of willpower to continue a given program for weeks or months at a time. This is some see sugar substitutes as insipid or worse, as including an intolerable risk to health, given that some studies have linked them, to carcinogens and / or the formation of brain tumors. It has been appreciated in recent years that the fat content in the food that people consume is the main culprit behind the human weight gain. For example, regardless of the type of fat present in a food product, fat has the highest caloric value per gram - approximately 9 large calories per gram - of any food group. It is understood that the body tends to store fat for future use, instead of using them immediately, and this factor helps lead to weight gain. However, it has also been appreciated in recent years that there is a relationship between the amount of fat stored in the body and the level of cholesterol in the body, with a high-fat diet that probably leads to high cholesterol levels. Since cholesterol has been implicated as a factor in arteriosclerosis or hardening of the arteries, the risk for heart disease and / or a heart attack is high when a high-fat diet is followed. Unfortunately, fat also makes many food items tastier - whether butter on bread, salad dressings, sour cream on potatoes or frosting on cake - and are therefore difficult to completely eliminate from someone's diet. A) Yes, fat usually finds these pathways to the body. Once this is done, a healthy body automatically secretes lipase, an enzyme that speeds up the synthesis of fats, that is, breaks down the fat molecule. Most of all fats in food are found in the "triglyceride form," which the body tries to break down by removing the glycerol molecules from the triglyceride and thereby releasing the free fatty acids. Once this happens, the body is ready to absorb the fat and probably store it instead of using it for energy. From the above, it will be understood that there remains a significant need in the technique of a product and concurrent safety and an easy method of treatment that facilitates the efforts of people to lose weight and control the accumulation of harmful cholesterol. Any of the products and methods will be able to help a person in the achievement of these goals, without relying exclusively on the sufficient willpower that the person has to maintain a strict diet and / or a rigorous program of exercises. In addition, any product and method must not interfere with the taste of the food. Ideally, any product or method would allow the person to consume the foods that they like the most, even if they are not so careful about the amount of fat contained in them and - in addition, it would prevent the body from absorbing the fat in such foods once they have consumed Any such products and methods would also ideally help the body in the rapid elimination of ingested fats safely, comfortably and naturally. In turn, the rapid elimination of fats subsequent to ingestion and even prior to digestion would have a high beneficial effect in the prevention of the formation or accumulation of harmful cholesterol. The present invention is designed to meet this and other needs that remain in the art and is believed to represent a significant advance in the improvement of a person's health not only by facilitating weight loss but also the reduction of harmful cholesterol in humans. , through the rapid elimination of fat from the human body. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention is directed to a new chemical composition proposed for ingestion by humans and to a method that helps in weight loss and cholesterol reduction in humans. In particular, when the chemical composition of the present invention is ingested by a human before consumption of a food, the composition acts to absorb and bind the non-assimilated fat to a fibrous agent in order to promote its rapid elimination from the human body. According to this invention, the new - The composition is activated by moisture so that it remains inert and can be formed into capsules, preferably suitably sized for ingestion by a human and will remain inert until it comes in contact with bodily secretions either water or another liquid. In a first preferred embodiment, the chemical composition of the present invention comprises a mixture of an amount of at least one fibrous agent, such as psillium, in general at about 80% to 83% by weight and an amount of glucosamine, preferably HCL. of glucosamine, generally about 8% to 10% by weight, and an amount of glucomannan in general about 5% to 6% by weight and an amount of apple pectin in general of about 2% by weight, and finally, also preferably an amount of stearic acid in general of about 1% or 2% by weight of the composition. In a second alternative preferred embodiment, a more significant aid with weight lis proposed, the chemical composition comprising at least one fibrous agent, preferably psillium, in general between 48% and 52% by weight, and an amount of glucosamine, preferably HCL of glucosamine, generally between 38% and 42% by weight, and an amount of glucomannan in general between 5% and 6% by weight and an amount of pectin derived from fruits or vegetables, such as apple pectin in general approximately 2% by weight, and finally, preferably also an amount of stearic acid in general between 1% and 2% by weight of the composition. In a third alternative preferred embodiment, proposed to further reduce cholesterol levels in humans, the chemical composition comprises a mixture of an amount of at least one fibrous agent, such as psillium, generally at about 85% by weight, and an amount of glucosamine, also preferably glucosamine HCL, generally at about 6% or 7% by weight, and an amount of glucomannan in general at about 5% and 6% by weight, and an amount of pectin derived from fruits or vegetables, such as apple pectin, generally at about 2% by weight and finally, also preferably an amount of stearic acid generally between 1% and 2% by weight of the composition. Upon contact with moisture, the chemical composition of these modalities begins to decompose and become active. Once activated the composition acts quickly, usually within 30 seconds to search and bind itself to unassimilated fats such as oils and the like, and typically, within about 2 minutes will form a small mass of non-digestible fibrous material . Additionally, a method for using the chemical composition is also described which, in one embodiment, comprises the steps of forming a capsule generally of approximately five hundred milligrams (500 mg) which contains the chemical composition of the first and second preferred embodiments, and having a human intake of at least one of said capsules, preferably with approximately eight ounces of water, approximately 15 minutes or 20 minutes before each food. In an alternative embodiment the method for using the chemical composition to reduce cholesterol comprises the steps of forming a single-dose capsule of preferably about seven hundred milligrams (700 mg) which contains the chemical composition of the third preferred embodiment, described above , and having a human intake of at least four such capsules, preferably with approximately eight ounces of water between fifteen and twenty minutes before each food. Although the size of the individual single dose capsule may vary, this alternative preferred method includes taking a human intake substantially of about two thousand eight hundred milligrams (2,800 mg) of the composition before each meal, and contemplates three meals per day, which is considers it offers forced results in the reduction of a person's cholesterol levels following the steps of the method. These results would only be improved if you follow a diet low in fatty foods and a regular regime of exercises.
A principal objective of the present invention is to provide a convenient and effective means of aiding weight loss in a human that safely affects only the fat portion of the food ingested by the human without affecting the metabolism. Another main objective of the present invention is to provide a chemical composition and a treatment method that serves as a convenient and effective means for reducing the amount of fat digested and / or absorbed by the human body, thereby aiding in a significant reduction in harmful cholesterol and the formation or collection of cholesterol deposits in the cardiovascular system. Yet another main objective of the present invention is to provide a chemical composition that selects ligatures and bonds of undigested fat ingested by a human to a fibrous agent, forming a non-digestible mass that can be easily and rapidly eliminated from the human body. A characteristic of the chemical composition according to the present invention is that it is activated by moisture and therefore is inert and can be formed and stored as capsules of suitable size until they are ingested by a human and activated upon contact with bodily secretions either water or another liquid. Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a chemical composition that includes a mixture of fibrous material to aid the human body in the rapid elimination of waste. A feature of the present invention in the form of a 500 milligram capsule is that it can absorb at least five times its own weight of unassimilated fats. These and other objects, features and advantages of the present invention will become readily apparent from the following detailed description. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED MODALITY The present invention is directed to a chemical composition and method of treatment using the chemical composition that acts to absorb and bind the unassimilated fat and rapidly remove the fat through the normal waste passage of the human body before the digestion or absorption of fat. As a result of substantially reducing fat absorption, the present invention is also directed to a method for significantly reducing the production and cardiovascular formation of harmful cholesterol in humans. The chemical composition of the present invention mainly comprises at least one fibrous agent to act both as a vehicle for absorbing fat and as a means to enable a human to feel satisfied. Preferably the fibrous agent used is psillium and generally comprises between 80% and 90% by weight of the composition. In the first preferred embodiment, the psillium generally comprises approximately or between 80% to 83% by weight of the composition, and in another alternative embodiment, proposed to aid in the reduction of cholesterol, the psillium generally comprises approximately 84% - 85 % by weight of the composition. In an alternative preferred embodiment, proposed to more significantly assist in weight loss, the chemical composition generally comprises between 48% and 52% by weight of psillium, and more preferably, approximately fifty percent (50%) of psillium. In these and other embodiments, the composition of the present invention may additionally comprise one or more other fibrous agents, which may be in addition to the psillium. For example, plantago ovata seed mucilage, or the cover or husk of psillium seeds, which are very fibrous materials, can be used. Other fibrous agents can also be used as described more fully below. In addition to the psillium fibrous agent, the composition of the present invention preferably also comprises glucosamine, a material derived from shells or deacetylated chitin from crustacean. Chitin is known in the art as a polysaccharide that occurs naturally-a polymer or large molecules consisting of sugar molecules linked together as shown by the general formula: the chitin that can be obtained from crab, lobster or shrimp shells by dissolving the calcium carbonate from the shells and then removing the protein fragments, leaving behind the chitin as a white powder, which is normally cycled through the environment, decomposing naturally in its building blocks of hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen and oxygen. In one embodiment of the invention, glucosamine can be obtained from chitin by hydrolysis. Preferably, the glucosamine salts and compounds derived from a chitin monomer, ie, N-acetyl-D-glucosamine (GlcN Ac) which is represented by the general formula: - will be used such as, for example, glucosamine hydrochloride, acetylated glucosamines, and / or D-glucosamine. In a more preferred embodiment, glucosamine HCL and / or glucosamine hydrochloride will be used and will comprise in a first preferred embodiment, generally between eight and ten percent (8% to 10%) by weight of the composition. In the preferred alternative embodiment proposed for the fastest weight loss, the amount of glucosamine or glucosamine HCL in the chemical composition will generally be between 38% and 42% by weight, and ideally, approximately forty percent (40%) by weight of the composition. In a third preferred embodiment, proposed to help with cholesterol reduction, the amount of glucosamine or glucosamine HCL in the chemical composition will generally be found at about six or seven percent (6% - 7%) by weight of the composition . The use of glucosamine hydrochloride in the composition offers an additional side benefit in which it has been shown to be a beneficial alternative for the treatment of enteritis and colitis corticosteroids. It will be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that as a derivative of chitosan, which has a capacity to chelate various metal ions because its hydroxy and amino groups act as electron donors, the glucosamine HCL is an ion or molecule which has a negative charge and which therefore attracts and binds with certain food molecules. In an alternative embodiment, a beta-alkylglycoside of N-acetyl-D-glucosamine can be used, which is represented by the general formula: and it is considered to effectively increase the ability of a person's digestive tract to handle substantial amounts of lactose. In yet another alternative embodiment, the composition may contain chitosan, instead of glucosamine, in amounts similar to those described above with respect to glucosamine and / or glucosamine HCL. Chitosan is formed by immersion in chitin, in its white powder form, in a heated concentrated sodium hydroxide solution heated above 135 degrees Celsius to remove one of the side groups of chitin, that is, to hydrolyze the bond? -acety, so that the results of chitosan can be dissolved more easily. The chitosan that is represented by the general formula: It also has the ability to act as a coagulant, that is, to attract and bind with certain molecules such as amino acids and proteins. In the preferred embodiments of the present invention, the chemical composition comprises, in addition to psillium and glucosamine or glucosamine HCL, an amount of glucomannan - also known as onjak or konjac root - which serves the purpose of providing lubrication as well as providing a fibrous agent additional to the composition. In all preferred embodiments, glucomannan generally comprises about 5% to 6% by weight of the composition. In addition, preferably the chemical composition also comprises a pectin derived from succulent fruits or vegetables, which serves the purpose of providing an additional fibrous agent to the composition in order to help the user feel "satisfied". More preferably, an apple pectin is used to form the composition which ideally comprises in general about 2% by weight of the composition. Finally in the preferred embodiment, the chemical composition also comprises a saturated fatty acid, such as stearic acid, which serves the purpose of allowing the capsule containing the composition to be soft and / or to facilitate the formation of the capsule containing the composition inventiveness. Ideally, the stearic acid used will comprise in - generally about 1% or 2% by weight of the composition. In all preferred embodiments, psillium, glucosamine HCL, glucomannan, apple pectin and stearic acid are mixed together in powder form, although a granular form could also be suitable, and result in a mixture which be inert until it comes in contact with water or some other liquid such as that produced by the human body during digestion. Thus, in a more preferred embodiment, the present invention can be formed into capsules to be easily packaged and stored. Additionally, the material used to form the capsule liner will be inert and upon contact with water or other liquid, will begin to decompose and allow both the release and activation of the chemical composition. The capsules also have the advantage of dissolving in a short period of time, thereby exposing the chemical composition to the ingested fat in a shorter amount of time after ingestion. However, single doses of the composition could also be formed into pills, which would simply require ingestion by humans in a long period of time before the food is consumed. If it is desired that the capsules contain the chemical composition according to the present invention they can be packaged in bottles containing 50, 60, 75, 80, 100 or more capsules and can include a - small amount wrapped separately from a drying agent, such as a silica gel in order to assume a desirable dry storage environment to preserve the inertness of the composition until use. In a first preferred embodiment, the chemical composition of the present invention will be formed into capsules generally containing about 500 milligrams of the chemical composition in the following amounts: in general about 80% or 83% by weight of psillium; in general about 8% or 10% by weight of glucosamine HCL; in general about 5% or 6% by weight of glucomannan; in general about 2% by weight of apple pectin and in general about 1% or 2% by weight of stearic acid. In a second preferred embodiment, proposed to help more significantly with weight loss, the chemical composition will also be formed into capsules generally containing approximately 500 milligrams of the chemical composition in the following amounts: generally about fifty percent (50%) ) by weight of psillium, in general approximately forty percent (40%) by weight of glucosamine, preferably glucosamine HCL, generally between 5% and 6% by weight of glucomannan, and in general about 2% by weight of pectin derived from fruits or vegetables such as apple pectin and in general about 1% or 2% by weight of - stearic acid. It will be appreciated that a capsule containing approximately 500 milligrams, has a size and total dimension that is easily adequate to be comfortably ingested by a person, although the capsule could be formed to contain less or more of the chemical composition (with similar composition proportions to those described herein), and with which to be somewhat greater or lesser, and still operate to be ingested by a person. Test experiments with the chemical composition described above have demonstrated the ability to absorb at least five (5) times their own weight of unassimilated fats. For example, in one experiment, 70 milliliters of water was placed in an appropriately sized test tube along with 10 grams (10,000 mg) of wheat germ oil and 100 milligrams of lecithin. This mixture was vigorously stirred for approximately 10 seconds. Then, 1 gram or 1000 milligrams of the chemical composition according to the present invention (two capsules of 500 mg each) were added and again the mixture was stirred vigorously for about 10 seconds. After several minutes, the mixture was observed to have approximately fifty percent (50%) fat (oil layer) lost, that is, most of the fat was no longer visible but instead had been bonded to the fibrous agent of the composition in order to form a non-digestible mass.
- In addition, the chemical composition of the present invention lends itself to a method of weight loss aid in humans, which will now be described. In particular, the chemical composition of the present invention seeks and binds with the fat ingested by a human before it is absorbed by the body, and as already explained, they are linked to a fibrous agent in order to help the person It feels "satisfied" and also allows rapid elimination by the human body. According to the above, a preferred method of the present invention comprises the steps of forming a capsule in general of approximately 500 milligrams with the chemical composition and that taking in human intake at least one of the 500 milligram capsules with generally about eight ounces of water in general about fifteen to twenty minutes before a meal. Ideally, the human will ingest two of the capsules before each feed, but can ingest up to about four of the capsules (2000 milligrams) if the food to be consumed is especially large and / or has a particularly high fat content. Once ingested by a human, each capsule begins to disintegrate and releases or otherwise facilitates the activation of the chemical composition contained therein typically typically in about thirty (30) minutes and frequently in less time. In a preferred form of - - In this method, there is an additional step of taking about eight ounces of water in the morning in general human intake, and ideally, there is an additional step of taking about eight ounces of water in food in general in human consumption. In an alternative preferred embodiment, which is proposed to further reduce cholesterol in humans, the present invention will be formed into capsules generally containing about seven hundred milligrams (700 mg) of the chemical composition in the following amounts: generally about 85% by weight. psillium weight; in general about 6% by weight of glucosamine HCL; in general about 6% by weight of glucomannan; in general about 2% by weight of apple pectin; and in general about 1% by weight of stearic acid. Similarly, a capsule containing approximately 700 milligrams has a total size and dimension that is readily adequate to be comfortably ingested by a person in amounts corresponding to recommended doses. However, the capsule could be formed to contain less or more of the chemical composition (with proportions of the composition similar to those described herein), and thereby be somewhat larger or smaller, and still be suitable for ingestion by a person. This alternative embodiment of the chemical composition lends itself to a method for reducing cholesterol, which will now be described. Thus, another preferred method of the present invention comprises the steps of forming a capsule in general of about 700 milligrams with the chemical composition and taking in human intake at least four of the 700 milligram capsules with generally about eight ounces of water approximately fifteen to twenty minutes before a meal. However, ideally the human will ingest four of the capsules before each meal, with three meals per day being ingested. Thus, the amount taken of psillium with each capsule is generally about six hundred milligrams (600 mg) or multiplied by four two thousand four hundred milligrams (2,400 mg) per food, and if three foods are consumed in one day, the absorption would then be seven thousand two hundred milligrams (7,200 mg) of psillium per day, the amount of which has been shown to significantly help reduce cholesterol. From the above it should be clear that the human can ingest more than four such capsules, for example, up to about six or more of the capsules if the food to be consumed is especially large and / or has a particularly high fat content. Once ingested by a human, each capsule also begins to disintegrate and release or otherwise facilitate the activation of the chemical composition contained therein - typically generally at about thirty (30) minutes, and often less time . In a preferred form of the method there is an additional step of having about eight ounces of water in general in human consumption upon waking in the morning, and ideally there is an additional step of taking about 8 ounces of water between meals in human intake. Since many modifications, variations and changes in detail can be made to the preferred embodiment described of the invention, it is proposed that all issues in the foregoing description be construed as illustrative and not in a limiting sense. Thus, the scope of the invention should be determined by the appended claims and their legal equivalents.
