Abstract

An arrangement for a rotatable circular comb for processing fibers supplied in the form of a fiber band has arrangement sections fastened on a circular cylindrical mantle surface that is rotatable about an axis of rotation in a direction of rotation. The arrangement sections are arranged behind one another in a circumferential direction of the circular cylindrical mantle surface such that the arrangement sections successively engage the fiber band in an engagement sequence when the arrangement is rotated in the direction of rotation. A first one of the arrangement sections that engages the fiber band first in the engagement sequence upon rotation of the arrangement is an engagement section and the arrangement sections arranged successively behind the engagement section are follower sections. The engagement section has a lesser combing effect than at least one of the follower sections. At least one of the follower sections has a greater length in the circumferential direction than the engagement section

Description

DISPOSITION OF CIRCULAR COMFORT DESCRIPTIVE MEMORY The invention relates to an arrangement for a circular comb, used to process fibers supplied in the form of a band of fibers and which can be rotated about an axis of rotation, with at least two sections disposed one behind the other in the circumferential direction of a circular cylindrical mantle surface that rotates about the axis of rotation, wherein the coupling section that first couples the fiber web after the rotation of the circular comb about the axis of rotation provides a lower combing effect than by at least one of the follower sections that subsequently pass through the fiber web; to a circular comb provided with said arrangement; and to a comb that has said circular comb. The circular combs provided with arrangements of the aforementioned type are used during the processing or finishing of fibers in combers to separate short fibers and buttons, as well as bulky portions of the raw fiber and carded material. In this context, the combing process makes the fiber cut, that is, the fiber length of the crude fiber material, more uniform. For this purpose, the comber is conventionally arranged between the carding machine and the draw.
In the hairdresser a strand of fibers of a fiber web composed preferably of already carded fibers is fused to a band of already combed fibers and secured by jaws, and the teeth of the circular comb pass therethrough. The complete process of coupling the teeth of the comb in the tuft of fibers, the combing, the fusion to the point where the circular comb engages a tuft of fibers that is freshly supplied to the jaws is known as "styling kit". " Conventional circular combs comprise a substantially cylindrical support body in which the comber extends over a portion of the circumference of the cylinder. During operation of the comb the circular comb rotates about the axis of the cylinder and is arranged in relation to the jaws so that the teeth of the comb can pass through the lock of fibers secured by the jaws, but in such a way that the Support body after additional rotation of the circular comb does not prevent the fusion of the combed fiber lock. Conventionally, the circular comb for this purpose is configured so that a base body is mounted on the cylindrical support body that expands the support body in the radial direction and on which the actual circular comb arrangement is secured. In the development of circular combs, arrangements with round needles were initially used. With said circular combs a processing speed of 100 to 110 combing sets per minute could be achieved while maintaining a satisfactory combing effect.
By replacing the circular needles with all-steel saw-tooth arrangements, an increase in the processing speed of up to 350 combing sets per minute is achieved without impeding the combing effect. A further increase in the processing speed could be obtained without affecting the actual styling results by an additional development of conventional circular combs described in DE 43 26 205 Cl, in which a channel is arranged between the arrangement and the support body to avoid dynamic pressure in front of the layout. When the circular combs described in the aforementioned document were used, it was initially observed that the fibers to be processed were damaged at high processing speeds. In order to eliminate these disadvantages, provisions of the aforementioned type were suggested with which a very light coupling of the arrangement could be achieved by means of the coupling section in the fiber tuft, while with the follower sections the desired styling result could be produced. When using arrangements made of wire strips with saw teeth, the effect of superior styling of the follower sections in the known arrangements is achieved by a corresponding reduction in the spacing between the tooth tips of the saw teeth of the teeth. follower sections compared to the spacing between the tooth tips of the coupling section. With this further development of Isa arrangements it was possible to obtain up to 400 sets of hairstyle per minute with a satisfactory combing effect, but it was found that at these high processing speeds the time available even after the actual styling procedure is no longer sufficient to merge the strand of fibers combed or still to be combed with a band of fibers comprising already combed fibers. Accordingly, in a subsequent development step, it was proposed to shorten the length of the array initially by more than 120 ° in the circumferential direction of the circular comb to less than 110 ° in the circumferential direction of the circular comb to provide in this way even at high processing speeds still enough time for fusion. However, it was found that in the last described development of circular combs a considerable deterioration of the combing result was observed. In view of this problem of the prior art, the invention has the objective of providing an arrangement of the type mentioned above which, when used even at high processing speeds of 400 sets of combing per minute or more, still provides sufficient time for fusing the strand of combed fibers with a band of fibers comprising already combed fibers, while guaranteeing a satisfactory combing result. According to the invention, this object was solved by a further development of the known arrangements, which is essentially characterized in that at least one of the follower sections in the circumferential direction has a length greater than that of the coupling section. This invention is based on the recognition that a soft and very harmless coupling of the circular comb arrangement in the supplied fiber tuft can be ensured when the coupling section extends only over a very small angle in the circumferential direction of the circular comb in such a way that, while ensuring a damage-free coupling of the circular comb arrangement by means of the comparatively short coupling section, a great length of arrangement is provided for the most effective disposition sections without thereby increasing the length total of the arrangement in the circumferential direction. Above all, using an arrangement that in the circumferential direction of the circular comb extends at approximately an angle of less than 110 °, preferably less than 100 °, most preferably around 90 °, satisfactory combing results can be obtained without damaging the fibers which will be processed. With this, even at high processing speeds of 400 combing sets per minute or more, sufficient time is still available for the fusion process. With the circular comb arrangement according to the invention, an especially suitable combing result can be achieved with a particularly minimal length of arrangement, while avoiding excessive damage to the fibers, when the arrangement has at least two, preferably at least three follower sections in which each has an increased combing effect and / or a longer length than that of the previous follower sections, respectively, the coupling section. In this context, for an arrangement that extends over an angle of less than 110 °, most preferably around 90 °, a satisfactory combing result without damaging the fibers after coupling the arrangement in the fiber tuft is possible when the ratio of the length of the coupling section to the last follower section is in the scale of 1: 2 to 1: Four. When an arrangement comprising four arrangement sections arranged one after the other in the circumferential direction is used for an arrangement length extending over an angle of approximately 90 °, a particularly suitable styling result can be achieved when the lengths of Individual layout sections, starting in the coupling section towards the last follower section, have a ratio of 1: 1.2 (± 0.1): 1.8 (± 0.5): 3 (± 2). The values in parentheses represent the possible deviations of the especially preferred values without parentheses. As already explained in detail, when high performance combers are used it is especially advantageous when at least one of the disposing sections, preferably however all the disposing sections, comprise a plurality of sawtooth wire strips. arranged one adjacent to the other in the direction of the axis of rotation.
For such arrangements a higher combing effect of the follower sections compared to the coupling section can be achieved when the separation between the tooth tips of the sawtooth wire strips of the coupling section is greater than that between the tooth tips of the sawtooth wire strips of at least one of the follower sections, preferably of all follower sections. For an arrangement that extends in the circumferential direction of the circular comb over an angle of approximately 90 °, an especially high combing effect is ensured, while ensuring a coupling of the arrangement with very little damage, when the separation ratio between the tooth tips of the coupling section to that of the tooth tips of the last follower section is in the scale from 1: 0.2 to 1: 0.4, preferably around 0.35. The last described embodiment of the invention using four disposition sections disposed one after the other, a combing result is obtained especially suitable when the separations between the tooth tips, starting from the coupling section towards the last follower section, is 1: 0.7 (± 0.2): 0.55 (± 0.1): 0.3 (± 1), where the values in parentheses represent the possible deviations of the preferred values without parentheses. In this context, the separation between the tooth tips of the coupling section in the stretched arrangement, that is, before the adaptation of the sawtooth wire corresponding to the circular cylindrical mantle surface of the base body, is preferably about 4 to 5 mm, most preferably about 4.47 mm. In addition, or alternatively, for the last described embodiment of the invention with changing gaps between the tooth tips of the individual layout sections, respectively, a variable tooth split and a higher combing effect of the follower sections can also be achieved. in comparison with the coupling section because the width of the disposition grooves between the sawtooth wire strips of the coupling section extending in a direction parallel to the axis of rotation is smaller than the width of the grooves of disposition of at least one of the follower sections, preferably of all follower sections. This increase in the combing effect of the follower sections can be achieved, for example, because the base width of the sawtooth wire strip of the follower sections, while maintaining an identical blade width, is increased compared to the strips of wire with saw teeth forming the coupling section. In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the base width of the serrated wire strips forming the coupling section is about 0.8 mm, while the base width of the successively arranged follower section is 0.65, 0.6 or 0.5 mm for an identical blade width. Another additional or alternative possibility to increase the combing effect of the follower sections compared to that of the coupling section resides in that the saw teeth of the coupling section are provided with a lower angle of attack than at least one of the follower sections, preferably of all follower sections. In this context, the angle of attack of the sawtooth wire strips, which form the coupling section, in the stretched state, ie, before the application on the base body of the circular comb, is preferably about of 30 °, while the angle of attack of the wire strips with saw teeth, which form the follower sections, in the stretched state is approximately 35 °, 40 ° and also for the last follower section it is still 40 ° . In other applications, such as, for example, the short fiber cotton hairstyle for which only a minimum combing effect is desired, the angle of attack of all the follower sections, as well as the angle of attack of the coupling section can be 30 °. On the other hand, when processing long fiber material, the angle of attack of the last follower section can be up to 55 °, where the angle of attack of the other follower sections can also be increased accordingly. Finally, in the circular comb arrangements according to the invention it can also be provided that the tooth height of the saw teeth of the coupling section is greater than that of the saw teeth of at least one follower section, preferably of all the following sections.
In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, all the measurements mentioned above for increasing the combing effect are applied to the follower sections, where all the disposal sections are roughly equal in height in order to maintain an operation of the free comb. of disturbances. As can be seen from the above description of the arrangements according to the invention, a circular comb produced in this manner has a substantially circular cylindrical support body, a base body extending over a portion of the circumference of the cylinder and which expands the support body in the radial direction, as well as an arrangement mounted on the base body, wherein the arrangement comprises at least two arrangement sections disposed one after the other in the circumferential direction and with combing effects that they are different from one another, wherein at least one of the follower sections passing through a fiber web after the coupling section has a larger length in the circumferential direction than that of the coupling section. The invention will now be described with reference to the drawing which has been referenced with respect to all the details which are important for the invention but which are not explained in detail in the description. The drawing shows: Figure 1: a schematic radial sectional view of the circular comb according to the invention. Figures 2a to 2d: detailed representations of sawtooth wire strips that can be used to produce the individual layout sections of the circular comb illustrated in Figure 1. The circular comb illustrated in Figure 1 comprises a substantially cylindrical support body. circular 10, a base body 20 extending in the circumferential direction along a portion of the mantle surface of the support body in the form of a circular cylindrical mantle 10 and expanding the latter in the radial direction, as well as a sawtooth arrangement entirely of steel identified in its entirety by the number 30, which is disposed on the outer surface of the base body 20. The complete configuration comprising the arrangement 30, the base body 20 and the supporting body 10 can be rotated about the cylinder axis 12 of the support body 10, as indicated by the arrow 14. The arrangement 30 comprises a total of four arrangement sections 32, 34, 36 and 38 disposed one after the other in the circumferential direction, wherein the arrangement section 32, referred to in the following as a coupling section, first couples a strand of fibers that will be combed after the rotation in the direction indicated by the arrow 14, while the arrangement sections 34, 36 and 38 (in the following referred to as follower sections) pass through the fiber tuft in this sequence.
Each of the arrangement sections 32, 34, 36 and 38 comprises a plurality of wire strips with saw teeth disposed in the direction of the cylinder axis 12 adjacent to one another. In this context, the coupling section 32 extends in the circumferential direction of the support body 10, respectively, of the base body 20 over an angle α of approximately 13 °, the first follower section 34 adjacent thereto over an angle β of about 15.5 °, the second follower section 36 adjacent to the first follower section 34 over an angle? about 23.5 °, and the third follower section 38 adjacent to the second follower section 34 over an angle d of about 38 °, whereby the entire arrangement 30 extends over an angle of about 90 ° in the circumferential direction. As can easily be seen in the representation of Figure 1, the spacing between the tooth tips of the follower sections 34, 36 and 38 are respectively smaller than the spacing between the tooth tips of the follower sections 36 and 34 above, respectively, of the coupling section 32. This measurement already achieves that the combing effect of the arrangement 30 after of passing through a tuft of fibers is continuously increased from the layout section to the layout section, while a gentle coupling of the tuft of fibers with the coupling section 32 is achieved. Further details with respect to the strips wire with saw teeth to produce the disposition section 32, 34, 36 and 38 can be taken from figures 2a to 2d in relation to the following description. In Figures 2a to 2d, the sawtooth wires 33, 35, 37, 39 used to produce the disposition sections 32, 34, 36 and 38 are illustrated in the stretched state, ie, before their application on the base body 20. The sawtooth wire 33 illustrated in Figure 2a and used to produce the section 32, has a gap d between the teeth tooth tips placed adjacently of about 4.47 mm. The total height h of the serrated wire is 4.5 mm, the angle of attack e is 30 °, and the width b of the base of the wire with saw teeth is 0.8 mm. The sawtooth wire 35, illustrated in FIG. 2b and used to produce the section 34, has a gap d between the teeth tooth tips placed adjacently of about 3.14 mm, the height of the arrangement h is approximately 4.5 mm, the base width b is approximately 0.65 mm and the angle of attack e is approximately 35 °. The sawtooth wire strip 37, illustrated in FIG. 2c and used to produce the section 36, has a spacing between the teeth disposing tips positioned adjacent to each other. 2. 502 mm, the height of arrangement h is approximately 4.5 mm, the base width b is approximately 0.6 mm and the angle of attack e is approximately 40 °. Finally, the sawtooth wire strip 39 illustrated in Figure 2d and used to produce the follower section 38, has a gap d between the teeth disposed adjacently disposed about 1,574 mm, a height of arrangement h about 4.5 mm, a base width b of about 0.5 mm, and an angle of attack e of about 40 °. The invention is not limited to the embodiment illustrated in the drawing. Instead, the use of arrangement with more or less than four disposal sections is conceivable. In this context, the general arrangement can also extend over an angle of plus or minus 90 °. Moreover, the sawtooth wire strips of the individual layout sections can also have the same base width, the same spacing between the tooth tips of teeth placed adjacently and / or the same angle of attack or dimension deviating from the described embodiment, as long as it is ensured that the combing effect of one of the follower sections 34, 36 or 38 is greater than that of the coupling section 32.
