Abstract

En un proceso para producir hierro esponjoso por medio de reduccion directa de materiales que contienen oxido de hierro, el gas de síntesis se mezcla con el gas superior producido durante la reduccion directa de material que contieneoxido de hierro y se usa como gas de reduccion que contiene CO- y H2 para la reduccion directa y calentar los materiales que contienen oxido de hierro hasta una temperatura de reduccion. Con el fin de ahorrar energía durante la produccion de acero, en particular durante la produccion de acero, en particular durante el proceso de refinacion, se procede de la siguiente manera durante la reduccion directa: un gas que contiene carbon, tal como gas natural o gas con hidrocarburos superiores, se usa para la reduccion directa además del gas de reduccion; el material que contiene oxido de hierro se expone el gas de reduccion y al gas que contiene carbono alimentado adicionalmente durante un período de tiempo mayor al requerido para terminar la reduccion, y se fija una proporcion CO/CO2 de 2 a 5, preferentemente mayor a 2.5, en el gas de reduccion.
