Abstract

Se hacen reaccionar monocloruro de azufre y un fenol para producir un intermediario soluble en aceite, el cual luego se hace reaccionar con un compuesto orgánico insaturado que tiene uno o más enlaces olefínicos o acetilénicos, para reducir la cantidad de azufre activo en el intermediario, y para uno dejar exceso alguno de hidrocarburo, con el fin de producir de esta manera un fenol sulfurado soluble en aceite con un bajo contenido de azufre activo y un bajo contenido de cloro.
