Abstract

Un proceso para extraer azufre líquido a partir de una mezcla de reaccion durante un proceso de tratamiento de gas, especialmente un proceso para extraer sulfuro de hidrogeno a partir de una corriente gaseosa. El azufre que se forma durante el proceso es extraído desde una mezcla de reaccion mediante una primera concentracion de azufre en una pequeña porcion de la mezcla de reaccion y luego se calienta a dicha porcion hasta una temperatura que es suficiente para fundir al azufre. El azufre fundido es retirado desde la mezcla de reaccion y lavado con un solvente apropiado para extraer cualquier mezcla de reaccion restante.
