Abstract

Un método para instalar una red inalámbrica, el cual incluye los pasos de instalar físicamente una pluralidad de nodos en diferentes locaciones respectivas en un edificio, y usar un dispositivo de instalacion inalámbrico para programar una direccion respectiva en los nodos. El dispositivo de instalacion puede también ser usado para programar uno o más parámetros preestablecidos en los nodos, para verificar la operacion de los nodos, y para descargar informacion concerniente a la locacion física y direccion asociada de los nodos a una computadora del edificio. La programacion inalámbrica de los nodos es preferiblemente lograda usando un software de procedimiento de "apreton de mano" que asegura que los datos de direccion y parámetros preestablecidos sean solamente cargados en el nodo que se esta programando en ese momento, y que no inadvertidamente se carguen en uno o más de otros nodos vecino. En esta coneccion, puede ser usado un esquema de reduccion de energía iterativo para evitar que inadvertidamente se asignen la misma direccion a multiples nodos.
