Abstract
Un dispositivo para aumentar y/o disminuir una señal a una línea de transmision; primer y segundo circuladores opticos están conectados con por lo menos una red conmutable, en la cual un reflector de red se puede conmutar adentro o afuera de la trayectoria de conexion entre los dos circuladores; varias señales opticas, cada una centrada alrededor de una longitud de onda diferente, están unidas a un primer puerto del primer circulador; estas señales aparecen en el segundo puerto del mismo; sí un reflector de red capaz de reflejar se conmuta dentro del circuito, la señal centrada se propaga desde el segundo puerto del primer circulador y se refleja desde el reflector de red hasta el circuito, la señal centrada se propaga desde el segundo puerto del primer circulador y se refleja desde el reflector de red de regreso hacia el segundo puerto y hacia afuera del tercer puerto; el remanente de las señales de entrada que no son reflejadas por los reflectores de red se propagan hacia el primer puerto y desde el segundo circulador como una salida del mismo; también, una señal de una entrada de longitud de onda del tercer puerto del segundo circulador se propaga desde el primer puerto hacia el reflector de red desde donde se refleja de regreso hacia el segundo circulador y aparece en el segundo puerto como una salida del mismo.
