Abstract

Se expone un conjunto de mecanizado que incluye un nuevo diseño de fresa, para la preparacion de una cavidad medula femoral para recibir un vástago protésico femoral, en donde la configuracion del emplazamiento de la implantacion permite el alineamiento neutral de la protesis dentro de la cavidad medular para una fijacion rígida mejorada del vástago en la misma; los aspectos del conjunto de mecanizado de la invencion incluyen una nueva fresa que comprende una hendidura lateral proximal, que permite el evitar inicialmente el trocánter mayor durante la implantacion, dando lugar en consecuencia a la preparacion de una cavidad alineada neutralmente con respecto a la fresa; el conjunto de mecanizado incluye también una guía y un segundo instrumento de corte para la extraccion de hueso del trocánter mayor, una vez que se consigue el alineamiento neutral entre la cavidad medular y la fresa, para la implantacion, subsiguiente de una protesis femoral alineada neutralmente.
