Abstract

Un procedimiento que usa una red de comunicacion abierta (10) a la cual están conectadas las estaciones servidoras de comercios (20) y las estaciones de los clientes (30). De acuerdo con el procedimiento, una estacion de servidor del comercio genera una ficha de pago para la transaccion de la compra planeada entre el comercio y el cliente, esta ficha comprende datos sobre el comercio, el cliente el artículo comprado o servicios y el precio; la ficha de pago se transmite sobre la red a una estacion de servidor de pago (40); el servidor de pago automáticamente verifica si se autoriza el pago de dicho precio para el cliente en cuestion, consultando la cuenta personal del cliente instalada en el servidor de pago para pagar pequeñas cuentas, o, en el caso de cantidades grandes, haciendo una consulta sobre una red bancaria (50) separada de la red de computadoras (10); si el pago se autoriza, el servidor de pago genera un comprobante de pago que comprende cuando menos algunos de los datos de la ficha de pago y el comprobante de pago se transmite al comercio para permitir que siga adelante la compra.
