Abstract

Se describe un procedimiento mejorado para la produccion de ácido valproico a partir de acetoacetato de etilo, en donde ambos, la dialquilacion de etilacetoacetato con bromuro de propilo y la conversion del dialquilester, se obtiene de este modo, la correspondiente sal llevados a un solo paso, en la presencia de un catalizador de transferencia de fase, en un ambiente alcoholhidríco, y la sal se convierte en ácido valproico a un pH 1-3.
