Abstract

Se describen una herramienta para controlar el azimut y/o la inclinacion en un orificio de pozo y los métodos para utilizar la misma. La herramienta generalmente comprende un mandril que gira libremente (11), para transmitir fuerzas de perforacion, contenido dentro de dos manguitos excéntricos (12, 13). El manguito externo (13) tiene un orificio longitudinal excéntrico que forma un lado lleno o cargado (20) que busca el lado bajo de orificio de pozo. Dos insertos calibradores o zapatas estabilizadores (21) están provistas sobre cada lado del manguito externo (13) a noventa grados del alojamiento lleno (20). El manguito (12) tiene un orificio concéntrico longitudinal adicional que contiene el mandril que gira libremente (11). El mandril (11) está unido al equipo de perforacion en un extremo y a la barra de perforacion en el otro. La posicion del manguito interno (12) puede ser controlada, a voluntad desde la superficie, de manera que la excentricidad se mantiene hacia un lado del alojamiento externo (13), transmitiendo por tanto una fuerza de fulcro hacia la barrera y controlando el azimut y/o inclinacion del orificio de pozo.
