Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a surfactantes de silicona que tiene estructuras principales de dimetil siloxano con grupos secundarios de polialquilen oxido poliéter conectados, es decir copolímeros "peine". Las uniones Si-C en estos copolímeros son hidrolíticamente estables y muchos de estos surfactantes pueden emplearse en pre-mezclas de agua-amina. Pueden diseñarse con características piro-retardantes para utilizar en composiciones de espuma piro-retardantes. Los surfactantes de esta invencion son composiciones de silicona/poliéter que tienen la siguiente formula promedio generalizada: (a)R-Si(CH3)2O-[Si(CH3)2O-]x-[SiCH3R1O-]a-[SiCH3R2 O-]b-[SiCH3R3O-]c-[SiCH3R4O-]d-Si(CH3)2R; o R-Si(CH3)2O-[SiCH3RO]n-(SiCH3[O-(Si(CH3RO-]Si(CH3) 2R]O)n-[SiCH3RO]n-Si(CH3)2-R en donde R1 y R2 y R3 = a polialquileno oxido poliéteres de la formula -B-CnH2nO-(C2H4)e-(C3H6O)f(C4H8O)gZ, en donde R1 tiene un peso molecular promedio de mezcla ("BAMW") en la gama de 3000 a 6000 gms/mol y Eo es 20-60 % en peso del contenido de oxido de alquileno del poliéter; R2 tiene un BAMW en la gama de 800 a 2900 y EO es 20-60 % en peso del contenido de oxido de alquileno del poliéter; R3 tiene un BAMW en la gama de 130 a 800 gms/mol y EO es 5-100 % en peso del contenido de oxido de alquileno del poliéter; R4 es un grupo alquilo i arilo de 1 a 12 átomos de carbono, B se deriva de una porcion capaz de someterse a hidrosilacion, R se elige de R1, R2, R3 y R4; x = 40 - 200; a + b + c + d = y, en donde b o c (pero no ambos) pueden ser O, d/(a + b + c) = 0 a 1, a + b > 0, y = 5 a 40; m = 10 a 100; n <- 4; Z = representa - H, un grupo alquilo o aralquilo con 1 a 8 átomos de carbono, -C(0)Z', -C(0)OZ" o -C(0)NHZ'; Z' representa grupos alquilo o arilo monofuncionales con 1 a 8 átomos de carbono; e, f y g se definen por el peso molecular requerido por el poliéter, con la condicion de que el contenido total de EO de la estructura de surfactante es menor que 37 % en peso. Los poliuretanos producidos de acuerdo con la presente invencion pueden emplearse en los mismos campos que los poliéster poliuretanos convencionales.
