Abstract

La presente invencion se relaciona con un red de videoconferencias de terminales de comunicacion audiovisuales interconectadas por una red telefonica. Cada terminal se activa unicamente cuando el balance en una cuenta de usuario ha sido leído y la cuenta se ha vuelto disponible para un débito. La terminal incluye un sistema de monitor para reproducir y recibir informacion de voz e imágenes, un sistema de interfaz para acondicionar las señales que pasan entre el sistema de monitor y la red telefonica, y una base de datos que contiene las localizaciones y numeros telefonicos de las otras terminales de la red de videoconferencias. La terminal incluye además una pantalla de visualizacion de la informacion de la base de datos, un dispositivo de señalamiento por medio del cual un usuario puede hacer una seleccion desde la pantalla de visualizacion indicando la posicion relevante en la pantalla de visualizacion, y un dispositivo para marcar automáticamente la terminal remota seleccionada.
