Abstract

Se describe un proceso en donde se da formato a una señal de television al arreglo de una pluralidad de símbolos de datos codificados, al representar una pluralidad de bytes de datos fuente a cuadros de datos sucesivos que comprenden cada uno 313 segmentos de datos. Uno de los segmentos de datos de cada cuadro comprende un segmento de sincronizacion de cuadro del cual los ultimos (12) símbolos comprenden una copia de los ultimos (12) símbolos de datos codificados del segmento de datos precedente. Los segmentos restantes de cada cuadro comprenden (12) subsegmentos intercalados A-L, cada subsegmento comprende una pluralidad de símbolos de datos codificados que representan un grupo contiguo de bytes de datos fuentes, el primer símbolo de cada uno de los primeros (4) subsegmentos A-D comprende un símbolo de sincronizacion del segmento predeterminado. La señal recibida se descodifica al procesar independientemente los símbolos de cada subsegmento respectivo para derivar estimaciones de los bytes de datos fuente.
