Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un sistema y método para utilizar radiolocalizacion de dos vías para establecer comunicacion con una parte movil que tiene un numero de teléfono personal (PTN). La parte movil utiliza el radiolocalizador de dos vías para transmitir parámetros de control de llamada, que se utilizan por la red de telefonía para dirigir llamadas enviadas al PTN de la parte llamada. La parte movil también puede utilizar el radiolocalizador para transmitir un indicador de localizacion que especifica la ubicacion de subscriptor e informa a la red de la intencion del subscriptor para recibir llamadas de acuerdo con un procedimiento de examen de llamada. Para invocar el procedimiento de examen de llamada, los anchos de banda y protocolos de todas las estaciones de terminacion posibles asociadas con la ubicacion del subscriptor, se almacenan en la red en una base previamente dispuesta. Posteriormente, cuando se dirige una llamada al PTN de subscriptor, la red determina el ancho de banda y protocolo de la estacion de origen, elige una estacion de terminacion que se localiza en el sitio del subscriptor y tiene ancho de banda y protocolo que semejan más cercanamente a aquel de la estacion de origen, y dirigen la llamada a la estacion de terminacion selecta.
